| Trades Worker II (Plumber) Job Description Competition Number TW.11.12.323 Available Positions 1 Permanent Position Employer Department of Transportation & Works - Central (Works) Region Locations Clarenville Closing Date 24 Feb 2012 Salary $21.18 - $23.42 per hour (MS-26) Duties Reporting to the Building Manager, this position provides advanced, skilled plumbing work at the full journey person level in the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems, equipment, components and fixtures, in accordance with approved codes, trade practices, and in compliance with facility policies; may perform work across several building trades in conjunction with other maintenance staff and occupants.. may supervise, as circumstance demands, other trades staff and / or contractors on site; read and interpret blueprints, sketches and drawings; prepares estimates of time, materials, and equipment needed to complete assigned work; obtains price quotes in compliance with purchasing policies and picks up materials; liaises with facility occupants to ensure compliance with procedures; drives a government vehicle.
