Textbook Buyer Administrative Assistant II Commercial Services – Bookstore Competition Number: C215-11-JB ADPS Commercial Services is responsible for supporting the campus both with its services and revenue. The bookstore is one of the primary revenue producing businesses in Commercial Services and its purpose is to provide the right product at the right time for the best price. The Textbook Buyer will be responsible for successfully procuring the required textbooks and required course materials at the price, quality and availability of which to meet the customer’s needs, demands and institutional goals of SAIT. NOTE: This is a part-time hourly paid contract position. Hours will vary and fluctuate with business needs. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Purchase required textbooks and supplies as required by the departments using the most appropriate purchasing method; • Meeting suppliers and negotiating terms and integrated supply agreements for advantageous pricing and payment terms; • Continuous review and understanding of sales records, product demand forecasting, supplier development, innovative purchasing processes, and by vigorous ma.... |
