| Temporary Part-time Tourism Counsellor Reporting to the Tourism and Marketing Manager, the Part-time Tourism Counsellor will be responsible for assisting the Visitor Services Coordinator in providing travel and tourism information to the general public. In a friendly and professional manner you will provide information regarding the tourism industry and other inquiries received on the telephone, the internet and by walk-in customers at the Brantford Visitor and Tourism Centre. Other duties include assisting with the maintenance and organization of the brochure inventory and daily operations of the facility; assisting the Visitor Services Coordinator in the preparation and follow-up of FAM-tours and Group Tour program inquiries; assisting with completion of daily tourism statistics; distribution of promotional materials that may include use of the Special Events Van; manning community outreach displays and providing support at tradeshows; providing step-on guide services for group tours; and assisting with the displaying, pricing, inventory, and selling of souvenir merchandise including following specific corporate cash handling protocols.
