| Position Title: Technical Attendant (Therapy Assistant) Competition Number: CRH-12-057 Status: Part-Time Temporary - Duration: Anticipated for 3 months with possible extension FTE: 0.50 Department: Allied Health - Therapeutic Recreation Unit: Geriatric Assessment and Rehabilitation Unit Position Type: Both Position Description/ Required Qualifications: Therapeutic Recreation Assistant certification or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution (preferred) Minimum 1 year experience working in a Therapeutic Recreation position with the elderly or individuals with challenges AFLCA (Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification Association) ? Fitness for the Older Adult Certification or ability to achieve it within the first 6 months of hire Valid CPR certificate or ability to achieve within 3 months of hire Knowledge of medical terminology an asset Proven organizational & time management skills Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills Able to accept verbal and written instructions Able to work with minimal supervision Works in a professional and courteous manner Physically capable of pushing wheelchairs for an extended period of time and performing client transfers C.... |
