| Team Leader, Mid Market Job Code: 4070 Location: Kitchener, ON Department: Commercial Insurance # of openings: 1 Job Type: Full Time Closing Date: 31/01/12 Description Reporting to the Commercial Underwriting Manager, you are accountable for day-to-day management of workflow, underwriting quality and staff performance development within the mid-market team . You will contribute to a growing and profitable portfolio of commercial accounts within the branch while maintaining expenses within corporate guidelines. Specific Responsibilities: Ensuring quality and quantity of underwriting within the team meets corporate standards. Implementing effective workflow procedures; monitoring and adjusting procedures to respond to fluctuations in workload and market pressures. Providing technical support to underwriters within the team. Guiding underwriting staff in effective decision making that is consistent with corporate standards. Managing staff performance and maintaining effective ongoing development plans for all direct reporting staff. Broker relationship management.
