| Substation Technologist Employment Status: Full Time Permanent Category: UUWA Location: Acheson Closing Date: 2/5/2012 12:00:00 AM Summary An opportunity exists for a Substation Technologist with the Transmission Field Operations team in the Acheson office just west of Edmonton. This position will be part of a multi disciplinary team responsible for the operation and maintenance of Altalink ?s transmission substations in Alberta. The successful candidate will be expected to reside in the greater Edmonton vicinity. Responsibilities Operate, inspect and maintain substation equipment associated with the Altalink transmission system. Provide maintenance planning, schedulers and Altalink Control Center staff with information regarding equipment status, and recommend improvements or replacements. Trouble response for stations facilities in the area. Assist and support other disciplines as required. Qualifications Graduation from a related and recognized Technologist Diploma program Power System Electrician Journeyman Certificate would be an asset. Must have the ability to work in adverse weather conditions and have a valid Class 5 driver ?s license. Be competent and comfortable working .... |
