| An unbelievable opportunity with a growing international provider of business process services. We seek an experienced Systems Administrator for a new role in a complex technical environment comprised of various technologies. The core of the system runs on IBM Power series servers which are Unix based. The Systems Administrator will support the servers, storage and tape backup technologies based on 7 x 24 support needed for maintaining SLAs, security, etc. In addition there is an ongoing demand for Disaster Recovery tests, Oracle upgrades and the environment is High Availability. Key responsibilities will include application availability; disaster recovery, response time, backup and restore and data access. The environment is located in two centres under a co-location agreement so it is the responsibility of the System Administrator to maintain and support the operations from the servers to SAN to network tape backups. The role supports the development and test teams as well as the production system for call centre agents and is a very large volume data environment.
