| Official Job Title Speech Language Pathologist - 3B Cardiology Department 3B CARDIAC PROGRAM Addition/Job Type Casual Posting Type Internal & External Position Description HRD-043-12 SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST ? 3B CARDIOLOGY 1 ? Casual Job Description: The successful candidate will provide assessment and treatment of swallowing and communication disorders for adult inpatients with a variety of medical diagnoses. Collaboration with other health care professionals providing patient and family centered care in a team setting is an integral part of this position. The S-LP will provide coverage on more than one medical unit. Qualifications: -Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. -Licensed with the College of Audiologists & Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). -Previous experience with assessment and management of swallowing disorders, including video- fluoroscopic assessment for dysphagia. -Previous experience with assessment and treatment of patients with neurological deficits. -Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, including clinical education with students and / or mentorship of Initial Practice Registrants. .... |
