| Job Title: Simpson Ranch Chair in Beef Health and Wellness, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Job ID: 2012 Location: Foothills Campus Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Return to Previous Page Position Description The University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM) is seeking an outstanding individual to serve as the inaugural Simpson Ranch Chair in Beef Cattle Health. The Chair will play an important role in building our capacity in beef cattle health research and supporting the beef cattle community in Alberta. In addition to establishing a research program, the successful applicant is expected to be a strong communicator and advocate, and to contribute to the DVM and graduate teaching mandates of the Faculty. The successful candidate will be a member of the Department of Production Animal Health. Current research areas in the Department include infectious disease, pain and animal welfare, lameness, nutrition, reproductive disease, and molecular diagnostics. Opportunities exist for basic, applied, population and clinical research. Engagement in clinical service will be dependent on the interests of the successful candidate.
