| Senior Financial Accountant Branch: North Bay Certifications: WHMIS Job Description The Accountant, Senior Financial supervises and assists with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annually the financial statements and related information. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for monitoring subsidiaries? adherence to the existing Group accounting standards, writing new ones as identified by the corporate controller, and recognizing the need for additional accounting standards Heavily involved in the third quarter hard close and year end audits Complete statutory government reporting Assist with internal and external audits. Identify and make recommendations on an ongoing basis in respect to internal control issues for the Group of Companies Assists in the preparation of the Group quarterly reporting Works with subsidiaries to resolve issues Prepare weekly cash report and forecast Ongoing testing and monitoring of automated consolidation project Assess subsidiaries compliance to policies and procedures General accounting duties as required Requirements Education Required: Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Business Administration, Accounting designation such as CMA, CA,.... |
