| Job Overview We have a very exciting opportunity available with one of our clients located in their downtown Calgary head office location. Working in their corporate accounting department the Senior Corporate Accountant will have a very hands on role, working as part of a team of 10 to 15 accountants. Along with a broad scope of accounting duties the senior will also have the opportunity to mentor some of the junior team members. Following are some of the key responsibilities of this role: Initially you will work to gain a strong understanding of the organization's operations in order to provide guidance on appropriate accounting treatment for operating and capital costs for the various corporate departments. Monthly reporting duties will include journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis of operating statements. Review and reporting of the capital expenditures for various departments, as well as assistance with invoicing and coding. Analysis and review of the financial data for budget and forecasting purposes. You will also gain exposure and new challenges working on special projects as they arise in the department.
