| POSITION SUMMARY: This position belongs to a development team that develops and supports various applications in Scotia Capital, mainly in Equity Trading/Research services area. The Senior/Advisory Programmer Analyst - Equity will be responsible for leading, developing, integrating and supporting a of number of in-house and vendor applications and system interfaces involving various technologies. It is required for the incumbent to be familiar with Canadian/US Front/Middle/Back Office Equity Trading related business processes and functionality and that he/she would have experience and familiarity with Broadridge (former ADP), CDS processing and interfaces. Hands-on familiarity with financial data exchange protocols such as FIX and STAMP is highly desirable. He/she must be able to interact with various people in business analysis, user, vendor, and production support groups. It is essential that the incumbent to be proactive, eager to learn, able to work independently and to have a 'Can Do' attitude.
