| STRATEGIC INITIATIVES COMMUNICATION OFFICER Temporary Full-time (for approximately 14 months) LOCATION: 150 Frederick St. , Kitchener Assists in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of Planning, Housing & Community Services and related corporate communication initiatives. Produces various communication media. Assists in the development and implementation of programs to enhance communications, raise understanding and awareness, and promote corporate priorities. Facilitates the exchange of information with all stakeholders in the community. Assists in pursuing opportunities to promote Regional programs and services. Assists in the planning and implementation of media components of public information campaigns. Assists in arranging the promotional and communication aspects for special events. Assists in monitoring adherence to policies, procedures, and standards for communication, marketing, and promotional issues; provides related expertise to staff. Monitors media coverage. Maintains current media contact lists. Regularly attends Committee of Council meetings to gain an understanding of the issues being discussed. Writes or d.... |
