| SOCW 3040/4020 - Sessional - Lecturer - School of Social Work & Human Service Sessional DUTIES : The School of Social Work and Human Service at Thompson Rivers University invites applications for a sessional lecturer to teach the following course: SOCW 3040/4020 - Social Work Field Practice I or II The purpose of this course is to apply ethics, theory, and research to social work practice while developing professional practice skills. It is an opportunity to integrate classroom learning with practice while working in partnership with clients, community groups, and other professions. The practicum is a structured educational experience that includes specific learning objectives and professional supervision provided in an evaluative, disciplined and reflective manner. Through seminar discussions, students analyze inequality, injustice and oppression in practice. The practicum is normally completed three days a week and is accompanied by a seminar. QUALIFICATIONS : ? Master?s degree in Social Work required, PhD or earned doctorate in a relevant discipline preferred ? Successful teaching experience in post-secondary institutions preferred ? A minimum of five years of related practice e.... |
