| SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER (TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING - RAPID TRANSIT ASSIGNMENT) Full-time LOCATION: 150 Frederick St. , Kitchener Plans, designs, manages and authorizes the provision of engineering services in the construction of transportation-related facilities including rapid transit, roads and bridges. Assumes professional responsibility for the integrity of design and construction of engineering projects. Coordinates the consultant selection process. Reviews and negotiates work plans and budgets with consultants. Conducts public meetings to explain the scope of projects and to obtain public input into the final design. Writes/reviews Environmental Study Reports, identifying and evaluating project alternatives and impact on the social, economic and natural environment. Designs capital projects, develops and meets design schedules. Determines and negotiates the necessary approvals for all projects. Prepares the tender schedule, writes public tender advertisements and calls tenders for the construction of Regional projects.
