| SCALEPERSON Temporary Part-time (for approximately 13 months) LOCATION: 925 Erb St. W. , Waterloo Operates and maintains the computerized weighscale. Performs spotting duties at transfer stations. Enters incoming vehicle licence plate numbers to a computerized weighscale system, checks customer data, and directs drivers to appropriate area. Charges customers according to rate for rural transfers. Prints, sorts, and files tickets and collects payment where applicable. Reconciles daily cash receipts; balances cash and transactions to computer record. Completes daily cash report and deposit slip for courier pick up. Performs all janitorial duties. Removes snow from entranceway and scaledeck. Maintains a manual log of incoming vehicles at rural transfer stations in order to record peak periods in traffic flow. Updates customer information files on computer system. Acts as central dispatch for public inquiries; responds to public inquiries concerning billing, recycling, and landfill services, and provides directions, or redirects calls.
