| Position Summary THE OPPORTUNITY: Be part of the exciting growth and expansion of the Horizon Oil Sands. With your contribution we will see incremental production gains to approximately 250,000 bbl/d. Further phases of expansion will bring the ultimate plant capacity to 500,000 bbl/d. The Rotating Equipment Engineer will have overall responsibility for the integrity of rotating equipment for the Horizon Site, and will play a vital role in ensuring best practice during plant expansion at the Horizon Oil Sands. ?Responsible for improving long term machinery reliability by applying industry best practices ?Provide technical support in selecting materials and prescribing specifications for repairs, redesign, and alterations of rotating equipment installations ?Perform project reviews for technical acceptance of new mechanical equipment purchases and ensure conformance with applicable company and international industry standards HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK? ?Provide technical support and consultation in field rotating equipment issues ?Diagnose and evaluate rotating equipment vibration problems ?Interface with specialists and contractors to ensure timely co-ordination of maintenance act.... |
