Reporting to the Manager, Renal Technical Services, the Renal Technologist is primarily responsible for modifying, documenting, supporting and maintaining all equipment used in hemodialysis, plasmapheresis, and prismaflex related treatments throughout the Regional Renal Program. As a health care professional, the Renal Technologist works effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that the devices and methods used for patient treatment are safe, effective, and in accordance with accepted standards. The Renal Technologist has an ongoing commitment to maintain competence in the technical aspects of the nephrology field and an appreciation for the impact on clinical care.
