| Position Name: Reliability and Maintenance Engineer Posting Number: 23272 Employment Contract: Perm Full-Time Post Start: 2012/01/19 Post End: 2012/12/31 Job Description: JOB OVERVIEW Provide technical support to the Maintenance and Operation departments in the daily plant problems, maintenance activities and equipment repairs. The position requires the presentation of expert technical advice regarding short & long term reliability of fixed equipment, often within a short response time. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - It is imperative that any proposals, conclusions or recommendations are made in concert with the requirements of the business unit team so that process, operations and inspection goals are met and the broad issues of reliability, cost, safety, innovation and environmental concerns are accomplished. - Ensure that all the repairs and maintenance activities affecting Mackay River's equipment are executed according to Suncor's Engineering Standards & Practices, following the vendor's recommendations when applicable and using the right spare parts. - Prepare maintenance scopes of repair where Engineering sound and background is required.
