Halton Healthcare Services Posting #: 2012-671323 CUPE 815 Position: Registered Practical Nurse Department: Inpatient Surgery/2C Status: Part-time (must provide availability up to 0.4FTE) Hours: 8 hour days, evenings and rotating weekends (subject to change based on operational requirements) Site: Oakville Responsibilities: Functions as an active member of a multidisciplinary team in the provision of patient-focused care for the Inpatient Surgical Unit. The successful candidate will collaborate with other health care professionals in the planning and implementation of care for a wide variety of Surgical cases. Qualifications : Halton Healthcare Services is seeking individuals who are competent in their chosen profession; patient/customer focused; team players; effective communicators; caring and respectful and are fiscally responsible. Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario required Current BCLS Certification required Recent surgical experience required Required skills include aseptic technique, wound care, ostomy care, CBI care, NG tube insertion and management, foley catheter insertion and .... |
