As of April 04, 2011, a specialized Paediatric Emergency Department provides care for infants, children and youth 17 years of age and under. Our dedicated team of health professionals provides family centred emergency care that embraces teaching, research and health promotion. Commencing in late 2009 the Paediatric Emergency Department commenced an extensive expansion and renovation to better serve our increasing paediatric patient volumes. Upon completion in 2012, the new Department will have the capacity to serve over 40,000 paediatric visits per year. Position Summary: As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse coordinates and evaluates patient care and provides nursing care according to the job description and Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department.
