Reporting to the Clinical Leader/Manager of Corporate Health & Safety Services, the Occupational Health Nurse will: Assess and interview employees for pre-placement functional evaluations. Assess, educate, encourage, explain and provide direction to employees to assist them in understanding their injuries or illnesses, h.c. treatment, recovery, fitness to work issues and the return to work process. Interview, assess and counsel employees with hazardous exposures from their work, for example: needle stick injuries, post HIV exposure, post Hepatitis B exposure, latex sensitivity, monitoring for tuberculosis, etc. Provide counseling to employees for a variety of issues, for example: substance abuse, family, financial or legal problems includes referral to the Employee Assistance.... |
