| Title Radiation Therapist II Job ID TBCC-12-018 Duties & Responsibilities In addition to the duties of the Radiation Therapist I, the Radiation Therapist II: Organizes, supervises, and monitors lower level Radiation Therapists and/or students in the day-today execution of ionizing radiation and associated research procedures and techniques. Ensures adherence to departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards. Provides instruction and guidance in ionizing radiation procedures and equipment/facilities usage to junior staff and/or students. Resolves patient problems, technical problems and interaction with professional staff. Assists junior staff with procedures, use of specialized/complex equipment, organizing workflow and troubleshooting. Monitors all equipment for performance, performs quality assurance tests on equipment and reports deviancies or equipment problems and servicing requirements to Technical Director Represents the assigned treatment unit's interests at all department therapist staff meetings. Assists research scientists with various research projects. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited training program in Radia.... |
