Interfaces with supervision/management on technical aspects of machine operation and works and mentors production employees on process improvements to improve quality including machine set-up, inspection, and overall process improvements. Develops and maintains Standard Operating Instructions, Standard Work, and processes associated with scrap and rework. Is the technical expert on part or parts of the production process. Audits processes and works to identify root causes and assists with implementation of corrective actions. DUTIES/REQUIREMENTS: Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. An equivalent combination of education and experience is sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Under general supervision: occasional supervision over repetitive tasks. New duties or project-type tasks may receive “Strict” or “Direct” supervision, depending upon the nature of the task(s).
