The company’s primary site is Halifax Shipyard, with three other locations in the Maritime Provinces. In addition to a number of significant projects for DND and the Canadian Coast Guard, Irving Shipbuilding is currently competing to be selected by the Federal Government to build and maintain Canada’s fleet of combat vessels for the next 30 years. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead production workforce to meet or exceed production targets and improvement goals. Plan, organize, direct and control daily operations. Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates. Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress. Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements. Select trade subcontractors and co-ordinate.... |
