| Position Name: Project Engineer - Mining Construction Posting Number: 23350 Employment Contract: Perm Full-Time Post Start: 2012/01/25 Post End: 2012/02/20 Job Description: JOB OVERVIEW The Project Engineer (PE) Fort Hills works within an integrated Owner/Engineering Procurement (EP) contractor design office team and reports to a silo Project Manager. The Fort Hills project has 5 silos: Ore Preparation, Extraction & Tailings and Mining, Froth Treatment, Infrastructure, and Utilities & Offsites. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Provide input into the design stages of the silo by participating in design reviews, value improvement process meetings, constructability reviews, model reviews, hazops, etc. Work with the Project Manager-Support to support the management of the risk portfolio for the silo and assist with the development and review of the SPIM documents Interface directly with the EP contractors to ensure the designs meet the needs of the owner ?s group Support the silo Project Manager with the change management process, cost and schedule control Work with the EP project engineer to ensure action items from review meetings are closed Other duties as assigned by the Project Manger may inc.... |
