| Location: L'Ange-Gardien, Quebec SEE POSTING IN FRENCH BELOW JOB DESCRIPTION Ever thought about becoming a farmer? Here's a job that will hep you gain valuable experience! As a production assistant at Our Little Farm, you will learn to grow 40 different types of vegetables as well as a few fine herbs. The work will be diversified and will include: 1) Greenhouse work: Starting and managing seedlings. 2) Field work soil preparation, transplantation, use of small machinery, weed control, etc. 3) Harvest and assembly of CSA baskets 4) Sells & contact with clients (on occasion): CSA basket deliveries, farmers' market and participation in farm open-house days. QUALIFICATIONS - Interest in becoming a farmer - Good physical condition - Ability to work well with others - Ease with the public - Prior farm experience or training in agriculture is an asset (but is not required) - Bilingualism is an asset - Driver's license JOB DETAILS - Start/End Date: 18 weeks from May until the end of August (possibility of part-time work in September and October) - Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 35 hours/weeks - Wage: 10$/h, minus deductions (EI, etc.) LODGING & TRANSPORTATION Unfortunately, housing is no.... |
