| Procurement Specialist Location: Mississauga # of Openings: 1 Description The primary function of this position is to work proactively to achieve the highest quality, best design and on-time delivery of new and existing products while continually meeting or exceeding cost targets and inventory levels. This will include responsibility for the total management of assigned materials and services for new product introductions and our existing product line including negotiating and administrating technology supply agreements. Key Responsibilities: Participate in the development and implementation of a long-term supply strategy. Work with the Engineering and New Product Introduction teams to identify purchase requirements. Source, evaluate and select qualified suppliers that can provide high quality, technologically advanced and globally competitive products. Utilize negotiation and contract skills to develop Long Term Agreements (LTA’s) and perform value analysis/value engineering to reduce overall costs. Develop, maintain and promote sound relationships with qualified suppliers and the business community through adherence with corporate policies and procedures. Negotiate purchase.... |
