| Position Name: Power Analyst Posting Number: 23309 Employment Contract: Perm Full-Time Post Start: 2012/01/23 Post End: 2012/02/25 Job Description: JOB OVERVIEW The focus of the role will be to develop and grow an understanding of Alberta and Ontario physical energy, ancillary service and financial markets. In addition, the role will support development and implementation of Suncor ?s asset and load optimization strategies. The successful candidate will track performance through stewardship reporting from SAP, CXL. An understanding of book structure, settlements and key performance indicators will be required. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible for providing accurate, consistent and insightful analysis and forecasts into Alberta & Ontario electricity and ancillary service markets Support setup of Suncor ?s real time desk and financial power trading desk Working in a trading environment and as a member of the power team ? must be able to quickly assess, evaluate and make decisions within a dynamic and complex market Maintenance and development of Suncor ?s electricity physical and financial positions Strategic advice - translate the electricity market insights into base business and t.... |
