| Postdoctoral Fellow - Toronto, Ontario Position: Postdoctoral Fellow Site: MaRS Centre, Toronto Department: Medicinal Chemistry Reports To: Director and Senior Principal Investigator Salary: Commensurate with level of experience Hours: 35 Hrs/week Status: Temporary, Full-Time The Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for our Medicinal Chemistry Platform. This position is available for one year, starting in March 2012, with a possibility of renewal for an additional year. The successful candidate will identify and optimize new peptides with anti-cancer drug properties. The Postdoctoral Fellow will work closely with a team of scientists with pharma and biotech experience in the fields of medicinal chemistry, cheminformatics, biochemistry, cell and in vivo biology, DMPK, drug formulation and drug delivery. The responsibilities include: • Developing a novel in-house methodology to make peptide libraries; • Performing NMR conformational studies of the final peptides; • Improving the pharmacokinetic properties of the final products; • Contributing to the rational design of biologically active peptides; • Presenting results .... |
