| Physiotherapy Assistant Based at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro Temporary Part Time (0.6 FTE)(approximately 12 months) CUPE Local 2525 Bargaining Unit Healthcare Rehabilitation Services Competition Number CR-F12/01-139 Position Summary : The CEHHA Rehabilitation service provides Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy services across the spectrum of care i.e. inpatients units, ambulatory (outpatient) services, long term care and home care\community services. The Physiotherapy Assistant is an active member of the client care team participating in the provision of holistic, comprehensive care to meet the needs of clients across the spectrum of healthcare. As a member of the health care team the Physiotherapy Assistant works under the supervision and guidance of a physiotherapist within their scope of practice and overarching scope of employment. This position may include weekend and evening coverage. Qualifications : Completion of a formalized Physiotherapy Assistant Training program recognized by the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists. Current and ongoing certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, Non Violent Crisis Intention (NVCI) training and WHMIS.... |
