| Position Title Personal or Home Support Worker Category PSW/HSW/CCA Program or Dept. Home Support Salary Range To be discussed Job Summary The Personal Support Worker (PSW) or Home Support Worker (HSW) provides personal support and homemaking services to individuals and families in the home within the framework of VON policies, procedures, standards, and quality and risk management. Positions will be offered based upon business needs and candidate availability. VON Thunder Bay may hire for Casual, Part Time and Full Time PSWs/HSWs. Current VON Thunder Bay PSWs/HSWs are asked to contact their Manager directly if they are interested in increasing their hours/employment status. Responsibilities They collaborate with members of the health care team in meeting the needs of individuals to attain an optimal level of independence and well being. Qualifications ? Home Support Worker (Level III) or Personal Support Worker Certification ? Current Standard First Aid Certificate ? Must have reliable vehicle and valid driver's license ? Ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends ? Safe Food Handling knowledge and/or certification is an asset ? Ability to communicate well both written .... |
