Department of Economic Development and Transportation
Iqaluit, Nunavut
Reporting to the Manager, Security Operations, the airport Pass Control Officer manages
the Iqaluit International Airport Pass Control Office in accordance with the Federal
Aeronautics Act, and the Canadian Aviation Security Regulations and associated Measures,
to ensure regulatory compliance. This is a frontline position which involves continuous
involvement with all stakeholders at the airport. The incumbent must be able to multitask
and work independently without supervision.
The successful candidate must have Government of Canada, Level II Secret Clearance
including a criminal record check with no convictions or a pardon granted. You should have on
the job training and self study of applicable legislation including the Aeronautics Act,
Aerodrome Security Measures and Canadian Aviation Security Regulations, the Canadian Air
Transport Security Authority Act, Restricted Area Access Systems and Biometric Systems.
