| Title Part Time - Personal Support Worker -$20.53 - $21.76 per hour Department Transitional Care Requirements/Qualifications EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Graduate from a recognized College Personal Support Worker Program or equivalent. Recent experience in a Long-Term Care or Medicine unit setting preferred. Current BCLS. SKILLS / ABILITIES: Demonstrated knowledge of adaptive devices and mechanical lifts. Demonstrated warmth and concern for resident's well being. Ability to work with a team approach to care. Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, residents and families. Demonstrated communication, organizational and time management skills. Heavy lifting, moving and bending is required. Department Profile The personal Support Worker under the supervision of the R.N. and/or R.P.N. provides basic personal care to the resident with the goal of maintaining/improving the quality of life through physical, emotional, spiritual and social well being. ?? The extent of the involvement in these objectives will be determined by the functional ability of the resident and the directions documented in the interdisciplinary plan of care.
