| Position Title: Palliative Care Nursing Consultant Competition Number: CRH-12-115 Status: Casual FTE: 0.00 Department: Palliative Care Position Type: Both Position Description/ Required Qualifications: ? Nursing Educator position functioning as a consultant in palliative care with a particular focus upon pain and symptom management. ? Active CARNA Registration. ? Baccalaureate preparation strongly preferred. ? Specialized training in Palliative Care and Oncology preferred upon hire. ? Certificate or specialized training in Palliative Care to be completed within 24 months of hire to the team. ? Recent Medical / Surgical / Community Care nursing experience is essential. ? Ability to work closely with a regional team of physicians, nurses, and a pharmacist. ? Flexibility in working with the various facilities and community health teams within Chinook Health. ? Strong skills in health education, health promotion, and applying research to practice. ? Valid driver?s license and must have access to a vehicle. ?
