| Packaging Process Engineer Reporting to the Director of Engineering Responsibilities The Packaging Process Engineer will be involved in the development of InP die attach processes, assembly tools and fixtures, assembly level test software and hardware for high volume manufacturing of optical sub-assemblies and transceivers. The main Packaging Process Engineer responsibilities are: InP die attachment process development. Development of processes compatible with the assembly equipment. Design of assembly fixtures for die attachment. Design of component transport trays and packs for the die handling and attachment. Work in cooperation with the Optical Design Engineer. Development of assembly-level tests to assess the quality of the products in a very high-volume operation. Monitor process data on an ongoing basis and report on yield, throughput, and defect occurrence rates. Skills/Qualifications/Education The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Engineering or Physics with at least three to five years of directly relevant experience. A strong hands-on experience with InP semiconductor components is considered a necessity. Experience with InP die soldering, reflow pr.... |
