| PUBLIC HEALTH INSPECTOR (UNCERTIFIED) Temporary Full-time (for approximately 6 months) (2 Positions) LOCATION: 99 Regina St S., Waterloo/150 Main St. Cambridge Promotes and protects individual and community wellness through promotion and education of Provincial Acts, regulations and Regional policies; recognizes and responds to potential health hazards as well as assist to eliminate or decrease existing health hazards which could impair the health and well-being of the residents of the Region of Waterloo. Carries out environmental health inspections and investigations and, under the supervision of a certified Public Health Inspector, assists in the enforcement of the Health Protection and Promotion Act, Environmental Protection Act, the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, The Ontario Building Code and the regulations there under ensuring regulated standards are met. Develops and provides education and health promotion strategies for food safety, infection control, rabies control, water quality (drinking and recreational water), environmental health, environmental protection, communicable disease and vector borne disease control.
