| PROGRAM ASSISTANT SALARY RANGE : $38,110– $47,638 (Pay Grade 2) NOTE: Applicants will be considered for interviews based on the information provided in their application to the Region of Halton including a current resume and cover letter. PREFERRED BACKGROUND: Secondary School Graduation Diploma with at least two years of progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience is required. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Access & Outlook) and desktop publishing with a keyboarding speed of 60 wpm are required. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects are essential. Creative skills in design of brochures, forms and newsletters are preferred. Must have the ability to deal with diverse clientele in a tactful and efficient manner. Knowledge of social housing is an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
