| Position Title: PHYSIOTHERAPIST Classification: FULL TIME Hours of Work: VARIABLE Job Competition #: OPS12-004 Qualifications Degree from a recognized Physiotherapy Program required Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and eligibility for registration with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association required Experience, Skill, and Ability Good interpersonal and communication skills The ability to work effectively and harmoniously with all members of the Health Care Team Demonstrated ability to fulfil role within Attendance Support Program parameters Principal Duties Assesses and treats assigned patients on Nursing Units or in the Department; plans course of treatment for each patient; may treat patients individually or in groups Assesses the patient’s progress and adjusts treatment accordingly Keeps adequate treatment records Maintains statistics according to the Physiotherapist Workload Measurement System Removes defective equipment and notifies Assistant to complete maintenance work orders Represents the department at assigned meetings or on assigned committees Participates in Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) audits and assists with developing and mai.... |
