| PHARMACY TECHNICIAN COMPETITION NO: 11-649 STATUS : Temporary Full Time (Approx. 12 months) DEPARTMENT : Pharmacy Services REPORTS TO : Manager, Pharmacy Services HOURS : Days, Evenings, and Weekends 7.5 Hour Shifts JOB SUMMARY: Prepares medications for unit-dose dispensing and delivers to nursing units. Restocks unit dose medication bins as required. Works and trains with Volunteers. QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a recognized Pharmacy Technician program or an equivalent. combination of education and experience. Current registration with the College of Pharmacists. Must have unit dose and IV admixture experience. Previous related experience in a health care environment. Must be able to take direction from Pharmacists. Demonstrates behaviours consistent with York Central Hospital’s Code of Conduct. Proven attendance record. Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
