| PATIENT CARE LEADER (Based at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro) Regular Part Time (0.4 FTE) NSNU Bargaining Unit Position Medical Program Competition Number CR-F12/01-131 Position Summary: Reporting to the Unit Manager or designate the Patient Care Leader will coordinate and facilitate the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care at the unit/service level. The Patient Care Leader role is a complimentary leadership role established to ensure the day to day clinical patient care activities are carried out at the unit/service level. Qualifications: § Current registration or eligibility with the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia required. § Bachelor of Science in Nursing or combination of relevant education and experience. § Canadian Nurses Association Certification in Gerontology or Hospice Palliative Care Nursing preferred. § Minimum of five (5) years continuous experience in the related nursing practice required. § Demonstrated leadership and competence in multi-task organization. § Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the application of current concepts to client care and coordination of unit activities. § D.... |
