| Dessau is currently looking for an Outside Plant Aerial Design Technician to join the Telecommunications Services department at its Vancouver office. Reporting to the Department Director, your main task will be to assess pole line design in accordance with British Columbia regulations. More specifically, you will : Responsabilities Keep abreast of applicable standards (e.g. ESA 22/04 & CSA C22.3) and changes in interpretation; Receive field data from the survey crews (e.g. pole profiles, SAG information, span distances, etc.); Perform SAG and Tension analysis for projects in order to determine required attachment heights of strand; Assesse requirements for conducting pole stress analysis and participate in ensuring that the right tools are used for the job; Perform stress analysis of poles (using field-collected data) using automated tools supporting this function; Set applicable parameters into automated tool to match each project (e.g. soil type, strand tensions, conductor size, wind speed, etc); Analyze and interpret results of running the stress analysis software; Identify reasons for pole failing events and identify required "Make-ready" solutions required for the poles to con.... |
