This team functions as a pool of resources working with 10+ business units. The team is responsible for design and support of a multitude of Database technologies in an Enterprise environment. We are looking for a highly motivated Oracle Database System Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic team on a regular full-time basis. Reporting to the DBA Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for installation design and support of Oracle, SQL Server and Sybase databases, following the Manulife Financial methodologies and architecture principles. Responsibilities Strong knowledge of backup and recovery procedures, including RMAN Understanding of internal dictionary views and tables Strong performance tuning and optimization skills Good UNIX knowledge, including shell scripting and OS-level troubleshooting Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g and 11g experience Experience with large databases and cl.... |
