Summary of Duties
and Responsibilities:
The Operations Safety Officer’s main responsibility is to directly perform health and
safety related tasks and activities for the Equipment Solutions Group with a focus on
project work and secondly to function as a liaison between customers and the
Equipment Solutions Group’s employees.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Performing tasks in the field that will ensure successful delivery of the Newalta Safety Program on customer
sites. (Examples of tasks include conducting site orientations, hazard assessments, writing SOPs, leading
site safety meetings, etc.)
• Liaising with client EHS representative to identify project safety specific issues and requirements.
Establishing site specific expectations and communicating them to Newalta Supervisors, Lead Operators,
Operators and Managers
