| Title Operating Room Technician (Licensed Practical Nurse) Job ID CCI-12-011 Duties & Responsibilities The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process as a member of the multi-disciplinary health team. The LPN applies nursing knowledge and skills in the assessment and care of the patient within the full scope of practice as defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA), adhering to the CLPNA Professional Practice Standards. The LPN is responsible and accountable for his/her own practice as defined by the CLPNA. The LPN can work in the operating room in the scrub and circulating role. ? Performs and contributes to the initial and ongoing nursing assessment of assigned patients/clients; ? Collects, documents and reports health information from objective/subjective sources to identify patient/client ?s health needs; ? Monitors changes in health status using critical judgment skills; ? Analyzes information and identifies priorities, initiates and/or collaborates in the development of the plan of care to meet patient/client needs; ?
