| POSITION DETAIL Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator - Winnipeg Location: Winnipeg, MB Job Type: Full Time Professional Areas: Human Resources Description: Position Summary Assesses Maxim’s compliance with Health & Safety legislation among the six provinces we conduct business in in order to promote the well-being of employees in the workplace, avoid exposure to risk, and reduce costs related to workplace injuries and/or non-compliance fines and penalties. This includes developing policies and procedures, providing advice and guidance to managers and various Health & Safety Committees, developing & delivering related training and workshops, conducting workplace audits and accident investigations, plus the compiling and tracking of related statistics. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develops and maintains Maxim’s Corporate Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with various legislative requirements. Provides advice, guidance, and support to managers in the development of department safety related procedures.
