| Nursing Assistant Nursing Permanent Full-time Competition #: 41-12-713505516 Reporting to the Unit Manager, the incumbent, as a member of a multidisciplinary team, performs a variety of clerical and patient care tasks. The Nursing Assistant acts as a communication link within the multidisciplinary team to all departments within the Patient Care area. The incumbent ensures of the care and comfort of patients as well as routine cleanliness of the clinic. Position will involve physical activity such as lifting and transporting of patients, samples, and equipment to other areas. Previous knowledge of maintaining and ordering of departmental supplies will be an asset. Successful candidates must have the flexibility to move between MacCharles and Tache sites as assigned. Non conformal shift patterns required. Qualifications: Applicants must be high school graduate (Grade XII or equivalent). Excellent English comprehension and written and verbal communication skills required. Academic training as Nursing Assistant (completion of Health Care Aid and Health Unit Clerk). Relevant experience may be considered. Computer and keyboarding skills. Medical terminology required. Current BCLS. Certif.... |
