| Title: Night Houseperson Job Type: Full-time, Nights Location: British Columbia Apply By: February 20, 2012 Responsibilities Cleans areas according to assigned schedules using appropriate cleaning and sanitation methods and procedures; Such cleaning will include, but not be limited to, furniture, washroom fixtures, walls, ceilings, lights, vents and windows; Operates floor care machines and steam cleaning equipment and strips, scrubs, spray buffs and refinishes all carpet and non-carpet floor surfaces; Picks up garbage and transports to designated areas; Adheres to established retirement residence policies and procedures, including safety rules and safe working practices; Prepares documentation as required according to retirement residence policy. Qualifications Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions in English, and be able to communicate and provide feedback on a day-to-day basis; Current CPR and St. John's First Aid Certificate are required; Proficiency in a second language will be considered an asset; Must be familiar with standard institutional cleaning techniques and meet physical requirements of the job; Previous experience in commercial and/or resident.... |
