| Network Specialist Job ID 2012.02 Position Overview / Vue d’ensemble du poste Our client have a backfill position open for 3-6 months for a Network Specialist. Responsibilities / Responsabilités Responsibilities: • Monitoring the trouble queue and resolving issues as they arise • Configuration and installation of network equipment • Proactive network analysis for capacity and performance • Preventative maintenance activities • Root cause analysis of performance breakdowns and recommend solutions • Respond to the diverse needs of business, trading floor, call centre and industrial network environments. Requirements / Exigences Experience/Skills required: • A minimum of 7 years of experience working in an Enterprise network environment. • 7 years experience with Cisco routers and switches. • 3 years experience with Cisco wireless technologies. • In depth knowledge of the OSPF routing protocol, VLANing, 802.1q trunking, TCP/IP and related protocols. • Adept at packet capture and analysis • Knowledge of copper and fibre cabling standards and structured cabling methods. • Strong communications skills and interpersonal skills. • Occasional evenings or weekend work to perform network chan.... |
