| Job Title: National Director, Government Relations and Advocacy Term: Full-Time Location: To Be Determined The National Director, Government and Consumer Relations is a member of CNIB ?s senior management team and will be responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of a full range of strategic initiatives to advocate blindness-related issues concerning independence and quality of life on behalf of CNIB. As this role advocates for the blind or partially sighted, preference is given to the candidate who is living with vision loss. Essential Duties entail (but not limited to): Serves as CNIB ?s high level representative with major donors, the media, and with partner organizations. Strengthens and supports CNIB ?s capacity to influence policy makers in the not-for profit and private sector as well as at the Federal and Provincial level. Keeps government stakeholders informed of CNIB activities, achievements, needs and concerns and support CNIB ?s fundraising efforts as appropriate. Leads the development of key issues and areas of focus that will position the CNIB with key stakeholders, government and other agencies to improve the quality of life for Canadians who are b.... |
